A campaign "state" refers to the activity status of a deployment for a campaign. A campaign state will update according to the parameters set for the overall campaign and when the campaign is pushed to a published state.
A campaign can be in one of the following states:
- Pending: the campaign is ready to be picked up to run as soon as it's published and it's on or after (in the case of automated) the start date and time.
- Running: Actions are being performed according to the campaign parameters previously set.
- Stopped: The campaign has finished performing actions and won't run again. Please note: automated campaigns never go to "stopped" unless there's an end time. They will remain in an infinite "pending-running-pending" state, again unless there is an end time.
Things that affect a campaign state are:
- Activation (published / draft)
- Start/End (date & time)
- Frequency of delivery (hourly, daily, weekly, monthly)
