Overview of Ackroo on Clover, How to Fund/Redeem Gift (VIDEO)

    In the standalone Ackroo menu on your Clover Flex homescreen, you can:

    • Check a card balance + Print a receipt copy
    • Fund a new Gift Card
    • Reload an existing Gift Card

     

    Gift cards numbers may be processed through the Clover Flex device in three ways:

    • Swipe the card, through the magnetic stripe-reader
    • Scan a printed barcode or QR code, through the built-in camera scanner
    • Key entry of the full card number, on the digital touch-screen number pad

     

    Check a Card Balance

    • Select Ackroo from the Clover Flex home screen
    • Select to either SCAN CARD or SWIPE CARD to scan/swipe accordingly
    • Once the card number is captured, the $ Balance will display on screen
    • Select PRINT to retrieve a paper copy

     

    Sell / Reload a Gift Card

    • Select Ackroo from the Clover Flex home screen
    • Select to either SCAN CARD or SWIPE CARD to scan/swipe accordingly
    • Once the card number is captured, the $ Balance (if any) will display on screen
    • Select SALE (if an unused card) or RELOAD (if card had previous use)
    • Enter the desired dollar value customer would like to purchase/reload
    • Select FUND
    • A pop-up receipt will display to confirm transaction completion
    • Select PRINT to retrieve a paper receipt, or DONE to return and scan the next card

    NOTE: Customer payment is not completed by this action. Payment must be collected by completing a debit/credit (or cash) purchase through the "Sale" menu on the Clover Flex device.

    Redeem a Gift Card from SALE

    In the main SALE menu on your Clover Flex device, you can:

    • Redeem a gift card (AckrooAPP Tender Type)
    • Print, SMS text or email a receipt copy

     

    Gift cards numbers may be processed through the Clover Flex device in three ways:

    • Swipe the card, through the magnetic stripe-reader
    • Scan a printed barcode or QR code, through the built-in camera scanner
    • Key entry of the full card number, on the digital touch-screen number pad

     

    Pay with an AckrooAPP Gift Card

    • Select SALE from the Clover Flex home screen
    • Enter the Sale Amount (Full-tax $ Total) of the customer's purchase >> Select CHARGE
    • (If enabled) The customer can opt to select a Tip Option on-screen (%, Custom Amt, No tip)
    • Select AckrooAPP to redeem the gift card
    • Select to either SCAN CARD or SWIPE CARD to scan/swipe accordingly
    • A pop-up receipt will display to confirm transaction completion >> Tap screen to proceed
    • Any remaining balance from the sale amount will display
    • Receipt Options:
      • Select Print Customer Receipt to retrieve a paper receipt, or
      • Select Email to enter a customer email address, opt-in for marketing and send an e-copy, or
      • Select Text Message to enter a customer mobile number and send an SMS text receipt
    •  Select DONE
    • If a remaining balance is still displaying, select CHARGE to process by debit or credit, or select CASH 
    • Repeat receipt options and return to the start to process the next customer Sale
