Here's an example of the "Misc." sub-tab:
GOLF BAG AND ELECTRIC CADDY STORAGE SECTION
Golf Bag Number: Indicates the golf bag number, which can consist of numbers and letters. Example: 202 A. You can change the display options in Options > Options tab > Member Management to have the letter first. Ex. A 202.
Golf club storage service: When the storage of golf clubs isn't mandatory, check this box for members who opted for the service. This value can be used in Autobill when invoicing annual dues. For clubs billing this service in the point of sale, a button can be configured to update the value automatically.
Power caddy Nbr: The power caddy number can consist of both numbers and letters. Ex. 12 B. You can change the display options in Options > Options tab > Member Management to have the letter first. Ex. B 12.
Electric caddy storage service: Check this box for members who opted for the service. This value can be used in Autobill when invoicing annual dues. For clubs billing this service in the point of sale, a button can be configured to update the value automatically. The autobill module can also invoice this service by relying on the presence of a "power caddy" number.
Special Cart / Pull Cart: Indicates a special cart or pull cart service. The list of special carts / pull carts can be found in value table 23- Special carts. These values can be used in Autobill when invoicing annual dues. For clubs billing this service in the point of sale, a button can be configured to update the value automatically according to the selected service.
Practice range: Indicates a practice range service. The list of these services can be found in value table 45- Types of driving range passes. These values can be used in Autobill when invoicing annual dues. For clubs billing this service in the point of sale, a button can be configured to update the value automatically according to the selected service.
Admin: Internal code used as you wish.
Note: Internal note regarding storage services.
Cart Preference: Indicates whether the member prefers a cart or walking. The list of preferences can be defined in value table 50- Cart reservation codes.
Some of these services can be reset at the beginning of the season using the "List / Cleanup Misc. tab services" menu option. Usually, clubs that bill these services in the point of sale need to reset them.
TEE TIME AND RESERVATION OPTIONS SECTION
Maximum tee times per day: Indicates an exception to the maximum number of tee times (foursomes) that the player can reserve online per day.
Games played this year (9 and 18 hole): Counts the number of games played since the season started. This number can't be changed.
Number of additional games paid: Indicates the number of additional games according to the member's member type. This number is added to the maximum number of games per year as defined in the member type (NOT in the point of sale's greenfee banks). Don't forget to reset this number every year using the "List / Cleanup Misc. services tab" menu option.
Action after max. games per year reached: This value is usually configured automatically depending on the member's member type. It must not be configured manually before the limit to the number of games is reached. (Future use).
Number of lottery participations: Counts how many times the member has participated in the draw since the beginning of the season. This number can't be changed.
Number of times penalized: Counts how many times the member has been penalized since the beginning of the season. This number can't be changed.
LOCKER INFORMATION SECTION
Locker #1/2: The locker number can consist of both numbers and letters. Ex. 92 B. You can change the display options in Options > Options tab > Member Management to have the letter first. Ex. B 92.
Type: Indicates the type of locker (Half, Medium, Large). The list of locker types can be found in value table 22- Locker types. These values can be used in Autobill when invoicing annual dues.
Parking places: Parking space number. Some clubs invoice parking spaces. The list of parking types can be found in value table 33- Parking places. These values can be used in Autobill when invoicing annual dues. If you don't need to manage parkings, you can reuse this field to invoice another service.
License plates: License plate numbers allowed to park in the member's parking place(s).
INTERNET SECTION
Password: Member's password to log into Member Services.
Internet Services Class: To grant a member an internet service class, which will give them access to more functions. Classes are 1- Captain, 2- Starter, 5- Admin.
- The Captain class is mostly used to give captains access to other members' handicaps online. You'll also need to activate the following option in Options > Options tab > Handicap > Handicap score entry control: "Allow score corrections by members with special Internet Cls".
- The Starter and Admin classes are used, for instance, to allow certain members or employees to reserve/modify tee times even though they may not be part of the foursome. You will need to activate the following options in Options > Options tab > Tee times / Tournaments > Reservations via Internet or touch screen: "Minimum authority level for Internet booking without captain" and "Min. authority lvl web modification without being captain". The difference between these two types of access is that only the second one allows for a tee time to be modified when two players are already assigned to it and the modifying member is not the captain. Members with both accesses can effectively manage the tee sheet. Some starters with these accesses use the GGGolf iPad app to manage the tee sheet.
Specific message for member: To enter a message to be displayed to a specific member in the Member Services up to a certain date.
Message expiry date: Specific message's expiration date. After this date, the message will no longer be displayed.
HANDICAP SECTION
Golf Association (handicap): Indicates whether the member is part of their provincial golf association. GGGolf allows you to set up an automatic assignment. You can also define how the assignment will be done differently according to member type.
9 Hole Handicap: Indicates whether the member wants a 9 hole handicap. Mostly used for members who only play 9 hole games and belong to a 9 hole league.
Exclude in handicap reports: When this box is checked, the member won't appear in handicap reports, the percentage of games they entered won't be calculated and there will be no warnings for un-entered scores and the member won't appear in Handicap peer review.
Percentage of scores entered: Percentage of scores entered with respect to local games played during the club's active season defined in the handicap options. This percentage is recalculated every night for all members, and for specific members every time a score or a reason for not entering a score is entered. This value can't be changed.
Tee times counting for % entered: Counts the number of tee times used to calculate the percentage of games entered for the calculation of the handicap factor. Managed automatically by GGGolf, this value can't be changed.
Exclude from un-posted scores emails: To exclude a member from automatically sent reminder emails regarding un-entered scores. GGGolf recommends that you exclude all members who don't enter their scores and don't participate in tournaments. You can have members modify this themselves in their online profile.
GOLF CANADA TERMS AND CONDITIONS SECTION (only for Golf Quebec clubs)
This section only applies to clubs that are part of Golf Quebec. In other provinces, this information is entered directly on the Golf Canada website.
Terms accepted: Indicates the last date when the terms and conditions were accepted by the member.
Hdcp publicly available on Golf Canada: Indicates whether the members accepts that their handicap be publicly available on the Golf Canada website.
e-Golf Quebec/e-Golf Canada magazine: Indicates whether the members wishes to receive email communications from Golf Quebec and Golf Canada.
Promotions from corporate partners: Indicates whether the member wishes to receive promotional emails from Golf Canada's corporate partners.
Date Golf Canada Card Requested: Date when the Golf Canada card's production was requested and source of request (Batch of cards, Pop-up, Force card). "Force no card to be produced" is displayed when the "N" button is selected.
"F" button: Force a Golf Canada card request.
"N" button: Prevent a Golf Canada card from being requested when sending a batch request.
DRESS / EQUIPMENT PREFERENCES SECTION
To record the member's dress and equipment preferences, from their pant size to their preferred clubs maker. The values in the dropdown lists can be defined in value tables 101 to 109. The member can enter their preferences themselves in their online profile when the "Manage golf equipment preferences" option is activated in the Options > Options tab > GGGolf Web Services > Internet Services Menu Control > Display my profile. It's possible to export this information via the Reports menu > Export data to Excel > Dress / Equipment Preferences.
GOLF CANADA SCORE CENTER INTEGRATION SECTION
GGGolf offers a module that synchronizes scores between GGGolf and Golf Canada every 5 minutes. This allows members entering scores for games played in the south during the winter months in the GHIN system to see these scores in GGGolf automatically.
G.C. Card Id: Golf Canada card Id. This Id is used to synchronize scores between GGGolf and Score Canada. This Id must consist of 10 numbers.
Score Synchronization Request: Function used to force a score synchronization between GGGolf and Score Canada. Scores are synched every 5 minutes. There are 2 choices to force synchronization:
- Pull scores from Golf Canada: this option activates a request to fetch all games that haven't yet been transferred from Golf Canada's website.
- Destroy GGGolf scores and pull from G.C.: this option destroys all GGGolf handicap games and activates a request to fetch all games from Golf Canada's website.
