The GGGolf lottery functions offers many unique features. The draw can be performed manually (by dragging and dropping lottery requests into the tee sheet and/or automatically). Once the draw has been performed it is possible to cancel the draw (to redo the tee sheet) and start over.
Many configuration options are available in Options / Options / Reservation ballots (lottery).
Here's an example of the screen used to assign tee times from the reservation ballots (lottery requests):
By clicking on the mouse's right button, a submenu will appear, allowing you to do the following:
Modify / Cancel reservation: Allows the user to access the reservation's detail and modify or cancel it.
Create Reservation Ballot: Allows the user to create a new reservation ballot. Automatically displays the reservation sub-screen.
Create standby: To create a standby reservation. Standby reservations are not considered in lotteries.
Draw mode: Must be selected after you've paired twosomes and/or singles and threesomes and singles in order to perform the draw.
Twosomes, singles merge mode: To only view reservations from 2 people or less in order to easily pair them up before the draw is performed. An additional column including the member's gender, handicap and age will appear. Reservation ballots are paired by group.
Perform automatic draw from ballots: Allows the user to proceed to an automatic draw, in other words the system will automatically place people in the tee sheet while taking into account the foursome's total weight and previous penalties depending on the requested time range.
Here's an example of the "automatic draw from ballots" sub-screen:
Once your choices are made, just start the draw. The following window will appear:
Once the draw is completed, the starter can view directly in the tee sheet which foursomes were penalized and make any necessary adjustments. In addition to indicating penalties, it's possible for the user to select the "Requested Reservation Information" option under the Display tab to view the requested time range and weight in the tee sheet.
The starter or system user can also proceed to a manual draw for particular foursomes before performing an automatic draw.
To perform a manual draw, just select the tee times you would like to assign by clicking on the "Sel" column. A check mark will appear, confirming the selection. To facilitate your choice, you can display reservation ballots by weight and once priorities are assigned tee times, display the rest of the reservation ballots in order of time range and finish assigning times. It's possible to select several entries and the order in which the selection is made will be the order in which reservations are assigned tee times. For example, if there are two reservation ballots with 2 players each, when you select them consecutively, these 2 reservations will be combined and that foursome will be assigned a tee time. So if you would like to maintain 2 groups of 2 players, don't select them consecutively, but rather do it in 2 steps. Then, click and drag your selection in the top section (tee sheet) and position the cursor on the first desired tee time and let go. Keep doing this until all your ballots are in the top section. When a comment accompanies the reservation, the requested time range will be displayed in red. Just position your cursor on the red time range and the comment will be displayed at the bottom of the page.
Select all ballots: To select all reservations. All boxes will be checked in the "Sel" column.
Unselect all ballots: To unselect all reservations.
Copy to clipboard for Excel: To copy all reservations to the clipboard in order to open them in Excel.
