GGGolf makes it easy to manage clubs with 9, 18, 27, 36, 45 and even 54 holes. The options by day of the week make it possible to set up types of default tee time generations for each week day.
This is an example of the "Courses" screen. The data is managed by the "Course Maintenance" sub-screen. Just double-click on a course to access the Course Maintenance sub-menu (see below for a detailed description). The information entered in the Course Maintenance sub-screen is automatically reflected in the "Courses" screen.
No.: Indicates the course's number.
Inac: Indicates whether the course is inactive (mostly used at the beginning and end of the season).
Club Name: Indicates the club's name.
Course Name: Indicates the course's name.
Number of holes: Indicates the number of holes for the course, either 9 or 18. For 27-hole courses, each 9-hole course must be defined separately.
Course type: Indicates the type of course:
"Priv." - Private
"Public"
"Int" - Interior course (simulators) - activates simulator reservations
"Ext" - Exterior course - can be used to document tee time reservations in other clubs when a local course is closed for renovations
"Snow Tubing" - activates snow tubing reservations
"Curling"
Internet/Touch Reservations Section
Members: Indicates whether member reservations are allowed for this course.
Draws: Indicates whether there are draws for this course.
Public: Indicates whether greenfees are allowed on this course.
MinuteGolf: Indicates whether MinuteGolf reservations are allowed on this course.
Track Playing Time Section
Track: Indicates whether playing time is tracked for the course.
End 9: Indicates whether playing time is tracked after the front 9.
10: Indicates whether playing time is tracked after the back 9.
Warn: Indicates whether you're notifying players of their playing time after each game. A message of congratulations or attention is displayed on the touch screen when players identify themselves to enter their scores. The first player to log on after their game makes the playing time official for the whole foursome.
Playing Time Control Section:
Front: Indicates the allotted playing time for the front 9.
9 ½: Indicates the allotted playing time for the stop at the 9 1/2.
Back: Indicates the allotted playing time for the back 9.
Total: Indicates the total allotted playing time.
18 to 19: Indicates the time allotted between the 18th hole's green and registration at the computer. When the starter doesn't enter the playing time, or after 4 pm when starters are usually not working anymore, the first player of each foursome to identify themselves at the touch screen makes the playing time official.
Options by day of week for selected course: Displays the list of options for the selected course.
Day: Day of the week.
Tee Time Generation Type: Indicates the pre-established type of tee times generation for the day. It's possible to make modifications by double-clicking on the entry and thereby accessing the pre-established choice of tee times generations. Types of tee time generations are defined in the Advanced Tee Time Gen. tab.
Days/Hours Reservations in Advance Section
To configure the number of days or hours in advance upon which members, greenfees, MinuteGolf players and Group members can reserve by day of the week. The "No reservations" selection will prohibit reservations. The "All season" selection will allow for reservations at any time during the current year. This used is mostly used for "Resort" type clubs, which allow visitors to reserve far in advance, as there are often hotel reservations going along with the golf reservations. The default selection, "Day Default", indicates that the default values are defined in the Days tab.
Members: Selection for members.
Public: Selection for greenfees.
MinuteGolf: Selection for MinuteGolf reservations (usually the same as for greenfees).
Club group: Selection for interclub reservations through the club group. Ex. PAR, Prestige, etc.
MinuteGolf Section: (reserved for the use of GGGolf)
Reserved: Type of tee time reserved for MinuteGolf.
Time: Tee time reserved for MinuteGolf.
Yield Management: Selection for Yield Management.
Here is an example of the Course Maintenance sub-screen:
Course Id: A number is assigned for each course. Numbers must start at 1 and be consecutive up to 10. NB. Only GGGolf can create new courses.
Inactive: To temporarily deactivate a course (mostly used when the course is undergoing maintenance at the beginning and end of the season).
Course type: Indicates the type of course (private, semi-private or public).
Number of holes: Indicates the number of holes for the course, either 9 or 18. For 27-hole courses, define three 9-hole courses. This setting is important to ensure the proper functioning of both simple and advanced tee time generation.
Club Names L1: Club name in French.
Club Names L2: Club name in English.
Short Name L1: Short club name in French (maximum 10 characters).
Short Name L2: Short club name in English (maximum 10 characters).
Course Name L1: Course name in French.
Course Name L2: Course name in English.
Short Name L1: Short course name in French (maximum 10 characters).
Short Name L2: Short course name in English (maximum 10 characters).
For clubs with more than one course, short names are used on tee sheets and reservation ballots.
Members: Indicates whether online member reservations are accepted for the course.
Draws: Indicates whether draws are managed for the course.
Public: Indicates whether online greenfee reservations are allowed for the course.
MinuteGolf: Indicates whether online MinuteGolf reservations are accepted for the course.
Track playing time: Indicates whether playing time is tracked with real tee times entered by the starter and real end times entered by either the starter or the first player in each foursome to identify themselves at the touch screen after their game. When the box is checked, the current time is automatically designated as the start time when the user clicks in the "Ok" column in the tee sheet.
Track front nine finish: Indicates whether playing time is tracked after the front 9. When the box is checked, the current time is automatically designated as the time at the end of the front 9 when the starter clicks in the "Ok" column. Otherwise, the time must then be entered manually by the starter.
Track start back 9: Indicates whether the time the back 9 is started is tracked. When the box is checked, the current time is automatically designated as the back 9's start time when the starter clicks in the "Ok" column. Otherwise, the time must be entered by the starter manually.
Warn on touch screen: Indicates whether players are notified of their playing time after their game. A message of congratulations or attention is displayed on the touch screen when players identify themselves to enter their scores. The first player to log on after their game makes the playing time official for the whole foursome if the starter hasn't already done so.
Front nine playing time: Indicates the allotted playing time for the front 9.
9 ½ time: Indicates the allotted time for the stop at the 9 1/2.
Back nine playing time: Indicates the playing time allotted for the back 9.
Time from 18 to computer: Indicates the time allotted between the 18th hole's green and registration at the computer. When the starter doesn't enter the playing time, or after 4 pm when starters are usually not working anymore, the first player of each foursome to identify themselves at the touch screen makes the playing time official.
Time from 9 to computer: Indicates the allotted time between the 9th hole's green and registration at the computer for players ending their game at the 9th hole (cross-overs).
Min. 1 to 18: Indicates the allotted playing time for each hole. This information can be used to print score cards. There should be a row on the score card after the tees to indicate the expected pace of play for each hole according to the actual start time.
Minutes between tee times: To indicate the default number of minutes between tee times in simple tee time generation. Values 2, 3 and 4 allow you to enter alternating default numbers of minutes. For example:
8, 7: 8:00, 8:08, 8:15, 8:23, 8:30...
7,8,8,7: 8:00, 8:07, 8:15, 8:23, 8:30...
GGGolf Club Id: Indicates the GGGolf club number and course number. This value is assigned and can only be modified by GGGolf.
GGGolf Course Id: Course number that was attributed by GGGolf in order to link with the course rating database. This value is assigned and can only be modified by GGGolf.
Color: To select the course's background color in the tee sheet. Click on the colored square to select it. The color choices can be verified in the course list and the tee sheet.
